We have had compactors for cardboard and plastic installed at our company.Two thirds of our waste is collected and recycled by a specialist company. Since 2008, we have also been monitoring our carbon footprint. We are working with the company Elise, a social initiative with a new provider. ELISE’s staff are mainly disabled people or people with integration difficulties. Although ELISE’s activity started more than 20 years ago with paper recycling, the ELISE network is now the French expert in the collection and recycling of all office waste. The ELISE sites assist companies in setting up selective sorting of their office waste. 13 different types of waste can be recovered:
- Paper and cardboard
- Soft plastics,
- The plastic bottles,
- Glass bottles
- Plastic and/or cardboard cups,
- Iron or aluminium cans,
- Batteries,
- Ink cartridges for printers and fax machines,
- WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment),
- The lamps, the neon tubes
- Wood and office furniture
- X-rays
- The coffee capsules
By sorting this waste on its sites and by favouring short and local recycling circuits, ELISE guarantees the maximum recovery of these deposits while respecting the channels established by eco-organisms.
