Answering the request expressed by its Committee to renew the light decorations on the Champs Elysées for the end of 2007, was to Blachere illumination a unique opportunity to stand out both through creativeness and through its experience of great projects with strong requirements.

Due to its outstanding dimension and the demands of its status, the project suggested a specific and careful approach to the numerous issues, and the thinking had to be conducted simultaneously on the aspect, quality, budget and economic issues in terms of controlled energy and luminous pollution.

Forty years of experience and creativity challenged every day in creation and company growth groups, great involvement in a sustainable growth policy that was started a few years ago, help Blachere illumination come across as a designer of outstanding light projects and confirm its European leadership in festive illumination.

ELUSIA - The dark light falling from the stars.

It is a celestial theme that directed and guided this project, the star’s light, their unobtrusive and ongoing presence in the immensity.
Named Elusia, a Greek term, and the etymological origin of « Elysées » this exclusive concept of luminous tree decoration specially designed for the 2007 Champs Elysées illumination encouraged us to a selection of innovative products, specifically designed and prepared for this project, a tree scenography dressing them with refined elegance.

The concept focuses on two main line, processed individually but part of a same harmony.
The 320 trees of the avenue are dressed with a clothing of crystals illuminated by « cold white » leds where « flash » leds sparkle, pieced by luminous shooting leds.
Luxury, crystal, snow and stardust are mixed in the branches, frozen in the glare of an intense white spotlight.
The 120 trees of the service road leading to the stores and pedestrian street are dressed with a myriad of sparkling and high-activity led flashes evocative of the effervescent light fallen from the starts.

The lighting of the trees on the service street was treated differently and reduced in terms of luminous intensity so as not to outdo the strong lights of the many stores along the street.

Initiated within the company for more than four years, a sustainable growth policy initially conducted on our production sites and extended to our products and projects, asserts our will to establish and ethics and encourage our clients to adhere through their lighting policies.

Since 2001 we recommend the general use of leds, an emerging technology of these past years, as well as the scheduling of timed illumination hours, and support our clients, their projects and thoughts, by developing alternate solutions ; thus in 2007 the development of a sun powered technology for patterns and led garlands, a Blachere illumination exclusive.

We give a great deal of importance to product control, to the use of heavy metal-free components and to the processing of our products throughout their cycle of life.

Elusia is a project symbolic and demonstrative of that policy, a large illumination project conducted with a prevailing concern for combining energy savings, technical and creative relevance, within the requirements set by a demanding request.

The decoration focuses on the avenue’s trees, divided into two rows.
